By replacing traditional, fragmented, and manual processes with AI-powered, hardware-integrated systems, EnergyX transforms both new builds and retrofits into energy self-sufficient, sustainable assets.
Its flagship solutions—EnergyX Zero (AI-powered software and consulting for architectural design and operations) and EnergyX Systems (customizable Building-Integrated Photovoltaics)—enable clients to meet global standards such as Zero-Energy Building (ZEB), LEED, RE100, and broader ESG goals.

Prior to founding EnergyX, Sean served as a Board Director at Tapas (acquired for $510 million). His entrepreneurial journey began during his university years in 2009 when he co-founded Bernice & Co. There, he played a pivotal role in developing an online private equity marketplace platform and rule-based stock investing technology.



Born in South Korea and raised at a boarding school in California since the age of 12, Sean's early life instilled in him a global perspective and a deep appreciation for diverse cultures. It was during his time at the University of Wisconsin -Madison when he founded Bernice & Co., kickstarting his entrepreneurial journey.



From selling ramen noodles as a teen entrepreneur to leading innovations in energy optimization, Sean ’s journey reflects his relentless drive for impact.


As the CEO of EnergyX, he continues to spearhead advancements in energy optimization technologies, shaping a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable world for generations to come
