Session Description
The digital era erases borders, especially as AI systems require vast data access. Data is now both an economic asset and a geopolitical tool. From cloud services to smart cities and cross-border AI models, the ability to manage and protect data locally while engaging in global collaboration is a defining challenge. At the same time, massive investments are reshaping this landscape—governments, venture capital, and multinational corporations are pouring billions into digital infrastructure, sovereign cloud initiatives, and AI-driven platforms. These flows of capital not only fuel innovation but also influence who controls, governs, and ultimately benefits from data. The panel will explore how trust, policy, and investment intersect to determine the future of digital sovereignty in a borderless world. This session will bring together policymakers, technology leaders, and academics to discuss frameworks for data sovereignty, balancing national interests, investment, and Policy.
