A warm welcome to the second edition of MWC Doha. This year we convene technology, industry and government leaders from around the world, in the first MWC event co-located with the plenipotentiary conference of the ITU – the UN’s agency for digital technologies.

Before arrival, international guests should check visa requirements here. Vaccination requirements can be checked with travel agents, travel centres or national Foreign Offices.

  • How is the GSMA monitoring ongoing security in the region in 2026?

    The safety and security of MWC attendees, staff and partners is the GSMA’s top priority. As is standard practice for all GSMA events, our security planning is kept under continuous review and updated if circumstances change. As with all our events, we are closely monitoring the security situation and remain in regular contact with our local partners and the relevant authorities.    

    We work closely with our partners in Qatar, including the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology (MCIT), as well as local authorities and international bodies, to monitor the situation.  Should the situation change, we will communicate any necessary updates or guidance to attendees, staff and partners.  

    We also continuously review official travel guidance issued by governments and advise attendees to consult the advice issued by their own national authorities ahead of travel.

  • Are there any things to consider when taking photographs or using drones in Qatar?

    You are free to take photos and videos in public event areas for your own personal use. We ask that you be respectful of other attendees’ privacy and don’t record in any exhibitor’s private or invite-only spaces without their permission.

    Please also be aware of cultural sensitivities when filming or photographing outside the venue. This includes taking pictures and sharing any visual imagery of people without their consent; filming or taking pictures near religious, military, government or construction sites; unauthorised footage of an emergency incident.

    Drone use, including aerial photography and filming, is regulated in Qatar. You may need licences or permits before importing or operating a drone.
