Getting around Doha
Modern attractions, such as museums and shopping centres, offer ramps, lifts and wide spaces. However, older attractions, some of which feature narrow alleyways, may be harder to visit. West Bay Beach has direct wheelchair ramp access to the water and the Corniche promenade is step-free.
The Doha Metro is an award-winning transport system with ramps, lifts and accessible trains. The Metro offers a barrier-free experience across all its stations as well as accessible bathrooms, tactile floor markers and audio announcements in Arabic and English.
Accessible taxis can be booked from the airport, hotels and via taxi apps; note that securing an accessible taxi via apps at busy times can be challenging so we recommend using a concierge service.
