Session Description
At MWC Doha 2026, the GSMA Non-Terrestrial Networks (NTN) Community will host an invite-only roundtable bringing together regional decision makers from mobile operators, satellite providers, vendors, and enterprises.
Building on discussions from the previous edition, the session will explore how the TN-NTN ecosystem is evolving across the region, with unique market dynamics, growing connectivity demand, and ambitious national digital strategies continuing to shape opportunities and challenges for adoption.
Discussions will focus on:
- Progress and evolving approaches to NTN business models and commercialisation.
- How satellite and terrestrial networks can be integrated to extend and complement connectivity.
- Developments and opportunities around Direct-to-Device (D2D) connectivity.
- Emerging real-world use cases across mobility, enterprise, and IoT.
- The practical considerations, priorities, and ecosystem requirements needed to move NTN from trials and exploration towards wider adoption.
Participants will exchange perspectives on the evolution of 3GPP-standardised Non-Terrestrial Networks and their interworking with Terrestrial Networks, sharing lessons learned and priorities from across the region.
The roundtable will provide an opportunity for peer-to-peer knowledge sharing, helping stakeholders assess progress since the previous edition, identify remaining challenges and regional priorities, and shape the GSMA NTN Community’s future activities and resources to support the continued development of the ecosystem.
