Karan Pinto is a deep tech entrepreneur and venture builder operating at the intersection of critical AI and resilient infrastructure across industries. He is Director and Chief Technology & Growth Officer at The Studio, the venture creation arm of Utopia Capital Management, a venture platform focused on emerging and frontier markets.
Based in Doha, Qatar, The Studio, supported by Qatar Development Bank, co-builds AI startups with domain-expert founders across the Middle East, Africa, Southeast Asia, Pakistan and Turkey - specifically targeting high-value, often boring, underinvested markets where AI can unlock transformational value. As part of its company-building model, The Studio offers hands-on operational support across product and go-to-market complemented by early-stage capital, giving founders holistic backing from ideation to scale and unique access to Utopia’s funds – Atypical Ventures and The Radical Fund.
Karan brings a unique blend of product, venture, and commercialization experience. Previously, he was the Global Director of Growth & Product at Terra Quantum, where he led the launch of the world’s first no-code quantum AI platform, built out the quantum security business and steered multiple enterprise engagements with Fortune 500 firms across financial services, life sciences, automotive, energy and industrials.
In addition to his role at The Studio, Karan is a Board Advisor at Swarm One, an autonomous AI infrastructure platform, and at Navon, a developer of sovereign-ready modular co-location data centers.
