Speaker Bio

As Vice Chair of MEC DECODE at ETSI and Senior Engineer at xFlow Research (Pvt.) Ltd., Mubeena Ishaq plays a pivotal role in advancing standardization, interoperability, and edge computing ecosystems. In her capacity as an expert member across multiple ETSI Specialist Task Forces (STFs) and Testing Task Forces (TTFs), she contributes to critical work within MEC, NFV, and ITS domains, helping shape the future.


Mubeena has been actively involved in developing TTCN-3 conformance test suites, enhancing the ETSI MEC Sandbox, automating OpenAPI generation processes, and designing MEC–oneM2M synergy models for interoperable IoT deployments. Her work in advancing MEC standards includes being a rapporteur, a co-author of an ETSI white paper for developers, having contributed to initiatives improving the usability of ETSI deliverables and supporting joint activities between ETSI MEC and related technologies.


In 2025, Ishaq was awarded the prestigious Shubhra Kar Linux Foundation Training (LiFT) Scholarship, which supports her continued growth in open source technologies.  Earlier in her career, she worked as a research associate at Air University, where she led academic labs and mentored engineering students. Mubeena holds a Master’s degree from Air University, Pakistan, completed on a merit scholarship.
