Mirko is the CEO at Ooredoo FinTech, owned by the Qatar-based Ooredoo Group and focused on providing mobile financial services solutions in the markets of Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Tunisia, Iraq, Algeria and the Maldives.
Mirko is a business leader passionate about building and supporting digital businesses that combine technology and human creativity for a better world. Mirko spent over 20 years leading large-scale P&Ls and digital divisions at Salesforce, Vodafone and Barclays in the financial services and telecom industries.
In 2021, he co-founded Loop Money, a UK-based fintech startup, which was later acquired by Tandem Bank, backed by top-tier PE funds (Pollen Street Capital and Qatar Investment Authority). He began his career at McKinsey & Company and holds an MBA from IMD, Switzerland. With a rich international background, Mirko has lived and led businesses in various countries and actively mentors’ start-ups and charities.
