Ankit Tharwani is an executive technology and product leader with over 15 years’ experience shaping digital banking and fintech across Europe and the Middle East. As Chief Product & Technology Officer at Ooredoo Fintech, he drives the group’s mission to build the MENA region’s leading digital financial ecosystem—spanning wallet, payments, remittance, and SME financial services.


Before joining Ooredoo, Ankit founded Loop Money, a UK-based P2P payments startup acquired by Tandem Bank, where he later served as Digital & Data Director, delivering award-winning green-banking products. Earlier, he held senior roles at Amazon (AWS) and Barclays, where he pioneered the bank’s Big Data and ML platforms and led global cloud adoption initiatives.
