Thani Ali Al-Malki is the Chief Business Officer at Ooredoo Qatar, responsible for the end-to-end profit and loss management of the company’s B2B portfolio, encompassing Connectivity, ICT, and Mega Projects.
He previously served as Senior Director of Active, where he oversaw Ooredoo’s overall active network deployment and led the company’s pioneering 5G rollout globally.
Thani joined Ooredoo Qatar in August 2015 as Director of Radio Access Network, bringing with him extensive experience in the telecommunications sector — including five years with Qatar Satellite Company (Es’hailSat) as part of the project team, and three years with Barwa Media City in the IT department.
He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Electronics and Communications Engineering from the University of Leeds (2008) and is a graduate of the Qatar Leadership Center (QLC), Class of 2019.
