H.E. Eng Charles Hage

Speaker Bio

Charles Hage is a graduate of the George Mason University's engineering Department. In 1991 he began his career in the Telecom sector at MCI in the United States where he quickly rose to senior positions and was the youngest ever director at MCI International. In 2000 He founded Mada Communications in the USA and shortly after relocated it to Lebanon where he also established XOL Holdings,  investing in several productive sectors with the aim of creating jobs and contributing to the growth of the Lebanese economy.


Hage is a philanthropist and civic leader. He presided the Maronite Foundation in The World and launched Lebanese Solidarity, a humanitarian NGO. In keeping with his support to Education, Hage served on the Board of USEK.


In 2025 he joined the Lebanese government as Minister of Telecommunications.   Upon taking office, Hage divested himself from his commercial and NGO leadership positions and continues to lead national efforts to modernize the country's Telecom services and the digital infrastructure.
