Speaker Bio
Eric is a public speaker, writer, qualified chartered accountant and subject matter expert in scam prevention, consumer protection, enterprise risk management and billing accuracy within the communications sector. He is best known as the Editor of Commsrisk, a publication he founded in 2006 that is followed by risk practitioners who work for communications providers worldwide.
During his career, Eric has been the Director of Risk Management for Qatar Telecom, Head of Controls for Cable & Wireless Group, and a revenue assurance manager at T-Mobile UK. He has also been the Chief Executive of the Risk & Assurance Group, a widely-travelled consultant, and he has overseen the marketing of several software firms that specialize in risk management. At various times he has been a member of Qatar's National Committee for Internet Safety, lead author of the i3Forum's Know Your Customer Code of Conduct, and chair of the TM Forum's ERM working group. Eric's book, Revenue Assurance: Expert Opinions for Communications Providers, was published by CRC Press. His current focus involves collaborating with communications providers and national regulators through formal industry associations and informal channels as they rise to the challenge created by the global scamdemic.
