Ahmed A. Al-Said is an accomplished executive leader with over two decades of experience driving strategic partnerships, innovation ecosystem development, and free zone operations. Currently serving as the Relations & Partnerships Director at Qatar Science & Technology Park (QSTP), a member of Qatar Foundation, Al-Said spearheads initiatives that strengthen QSTP’s role in advancing national economic growth and global innovation leadership.
Throughout his career, Al-Said has successfully led major capital development projects exceeding US$300 million, negotiated and secured the establishment of leading multinational corporations, and shaped regulatory frameworks that bolster investor confidence. His leadership has been instrumental in enhancing QSTP’s influence within Qatar’s innovation landscape, expanding its global footprint, and aligning its growth with national strategic objectives. In addition to his leadership roles, Al-Said has contributed to institutional governance as a member of Qatar Foundation’s General Tender Committee, overseeing major procurement and compliance initiatives.
Previously, Al-Said served as Park & Free Zone Management Director and Operations & Development Director at QSTP, where he played a pivotal role in developing strategic and operational plans, managing world-class facilities, and fostering impactful collaborations across government, academia, and industry.
Al-Said holds a Master of Science in Facilities Management with Distinction from Heriot-Watt University, an MBA from Qatar University, and a Bachelor of Science in Electrical and Telecommunications Engineering from Loyola Marymount University. He is a graduate of prestigious leadership programs, including the Qatar Foundation Executive Leaders Program (HEC Paris) and the Qatar Leadership Centre’s Current and Future Leaders Program.
Fluent in Arabic and English, Al-Said is widely recognized for his strategic foresight, exceptional negotiation skills, and enduring commitment to fostering innovation, driving economic growth, and achieving operational excellence.
