Caner Canak

Caner Canak is Group Director of Artificial Intelligence & Data Science at Ooredoo Group. He has nearly 20 years of experience in AI, data and digital transformation in the telecommunications industry. At Ooredoo, he leads the Group's commercial AI agenda across its operating companies in the Middle East, North Africa and Asia. His portfolio includes AI-driven customer experience, conversational and voice AI agents, next-best-experience personalization, and agentic AI. His focus is moving AI from pilots to enterprise-scale adoption with measurable business impact.

Before joining Ooredoo, Caner spent more than 12 years at Turkcell in leadership roles across Artificial Intelligence, Emerging Technologies, Data Science, Business Intelligence and Analytics. He built and led high-performing AI teams and shaped the company's enterprise AI strategy. He also delivered large-scale solutions in generative AI, customer intelligence, predictive analytics, real-time marketing, recommendation systems and intelligent automation.

Caner is known for turning emerging technologies into practical business value and making AI work for both customers and organizations. He holds a Master's degree in Management Information Systems from Brooklyn College, City University of New York, and a Bachelor's degree in Computer and Information Technology from Yıldız Technical University. He is also an alumnus of the Harvard Leadership Development Program.
