MWCD - Data Privacy

All attendees will be required to provide the following personal data during the registration process:

a. Global Event’s account profile:

• Full name;
• Email address;
• Gender;
• Address;
• Phone number;
• Company name;
• Job title;
• Job level;
• Area of responsibility;
• Company industry type;
• Areas of interest related to the event topics; and
• Networking profile photo.

b. Information from your Qatar ID Card or passport:

• first name
• last name
• identification type
• identification number
• identification name
• identification nationality
• profile photo
• path of image extension.

In addition to GSMA (the owner and organiser of MWC Doha) as data controller, your data will also be processed by the following third parties as part of the registration process: 

• Jemex Ideas Co.

Yes, your photograph and details from your Qatar ID Card or passport will be shared with Qatari authorities. During the registration for the Event, GSMA will ask you to provide your consent for us to share your personal data with the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in Qatar. The Qatari Ministry of Communications and Information Technology requires this information for the purpose of ensuring the security of the event.

If you do not wish your data to be shared with Qatari authorities, we kindly ask that you refrain from registering for the event. If you decide to withdraw at any point during the registration process, your data will not be shared and will be deleted.

Attendee personal data will be stored on servers located in the European Economic Area (EEA). Personal data of attendees submitted as part of the registration process may, on occasion, be accessed from outside of the EEA as part of administering the event registration process.

Your personal data will be deleted as follows:

1. Global Event’s account profile: This will be deleted if the account holder does not have at least one complete registration in the 12 months prior to the launch of the system for the next edition of MWC Doha .
