GSMA 6G Community Executive Roundtable

Bringing research, standards and industry leadership around the table, this executive-level, closed-door discussion will provide a focused forum to reflect on the progress of 6G, the direction of the technology and standards landscape, and the opportunities and challenges that lie ahead. The roundtable will explore how research priorities can translate into practical industry and ecosystem opportunities, how research, standardisation and industry priorities can be better aligned, and what actions are needed to turn emerging 6G concepts into deployable, scalable and commercially meaningful solutions.

The discussion will also consider how operators, vendors, academia, technology companies, standards organisations and the wider digital ecosystem can work together to shape the evolution of 6G. Particular attention will be given to identifying areas where stronger collaboration can accelerate innovation, reduce fragmentation, and create a clearer path from research and experimentation through standardisation and ultimately towards real-world deployment.

The conversation will also look into the key technical foundations of 6G, including system architecture, security by design, integrated sensing and communication (ISAC), AI-native network capabilities, interoperability, network programmability, and the integration of emerging technologies. It will consider how these capabilities can be designed and standardised as part of a coherent, secure and scalable 6G system architecture, while addressing the practical requirements for deployment and ecosystem integration.

The objective is to foster an open, strategic and forward-looking dialogue among senior leaders, helping to identify common priorities, opportunities for collaboration and potential directions for the future of 6G.
